Be sure to take the time to turn off on the Artist's Drive side road. It's paved, and one-way, so you don't have to worry about oncoming traffic. The beginning of the ride doesn't seem like much. There's a stopping point at Artist's Palette ... an amazing splash of color nestled among the rock formations. You can take a hike... more

An absolute treasure of a place and deserted when we went in the morning on our way to Las Vegas with just a small detour. The colours were fantastic on Artists Drive and then we saw the palette in the tiny canyon ! I could have stayed much longer but we had a long drive ahead of us. more
