I discovered this #1 ranked walking tour at Trip Advisor prior to leaving for a weeklong visit to DC. Zowie...based on the high ratings from reviewers, we decided that we should take the tour on our arrival date. After arriving in DC, we fumbled around for a few hours on our own. After getting lost a few times, we found... more

EXCELLENT Tour.. miss others, but TAKE THIS ONE ! Entertaining, Enlightening, Educational, Energetic, and Engaging !! Tour covers all the major monuments around the Mall, and the pace is perfect - I had two 60+ seniors with me who didn't speak much English, but even they had a wonderful time. My 10 year old son couldn't stop talking about Ben... more

FABULOUS FREE walking tour - don't miss it. Guide was funny and entertaining for the kiddo's. Lot's of interesting information on the background of the monuments that I'll always remember. Wear good shoes - because at the end you are maybe 6 blocks from the nearest metro station - BUT totally worth the effort! MUST DO! more

The 6:00 tour was the last thing we did after a long day of walking around D.C. and it ended up being one of the biggest highlights of our trip to D.C. Our tour guide, Brody, was great. He was able to keep our older kids (10 and 8) interested and involved in the tour with historical facts and funny... more

We can see why TripAdvisor has this as the number one attraction. Ben was a wonderful guide, engaging with our group and took special interest in the small boy in our group and incorporated him into his tour. He was outgoing and joking, but very knowledgeable. We were very impressed with his facts about the Vietnam Monument, and that he... more

Excellent tour. Not really "meaty" in the sense of information, but there are some good tidbits. Mostly it is a great way to check out the Mall with some entertainment thrown in. Our guide was clearly having a great time, and the price is certainly right! Leave a good tip, he's working hard for it. more

We were in DC for 1 and a half days roughly, so really we had only 1 day to take advantage of the city, so as you can imagine we took advantage of this and were out roughly for 12 hours on foot looking around prior to this. We decided to do the 6pm tour and met up with Broady... more

I was drawn to this tour because while I have visited the DC monuments many times, I hadn't seen the monuments with a guide since elementary school. I'm a sucker for guided tours because I love learning facts and trivia that might not be picked up from reading plaques or brochures. Our two tour guides, Ben and Brody, did not... more

I had very low hopes for this tour which was free. I was very well surprised. It started at a very convenient location on Constituion and 15th street near the Washington Monument at 2 pm and 6 pm most days. We took this tour the first day of our trip to orient to the major things to see in DC... more

A very good tour. Brody had a good personality and told many interesting stories concerning the history of the monuments. The tour lasts about 1.25 hours and ends at the Lincoln Memorial. My only complaint was that the tour was a little fast paced. We did not get to spend enough time at the WWII memorial so we found ourselves... more
