We docked at Tunisia on May 14th, 2008, and took a land excursion from our cruise ship. We visited the Souk and it was the "worst experience of my life". The venders were aggressive, assertive and downright rude. If you looked at a product, they were literally grabbing at you and trying to force you to buy. It was so... more

We have just returned from a cruise with a stop in Tunis. Everyone of us in a group of 9 persons wants to forget about the visit to the Medina. Shabby and dirty 'shops' under one roof , together with intrusive sellers, instigated in me a panic attack! A better option would be to enjoy the atmosphere on the cruise... more
