I had the extreme pleasure of going to the races at Sha Tin Racecourse on Sunday, January 27/08! Having worked as a trainer/assistant trainer/groom in the thoroughbred racing industry in North America for about 25 years it was a thrill for me to go to the races in Hong Kong! I'm sure that I'll never see a more beautiful racetrack... more

We arrived at Shatin only to find that kids under 18 were not allowed - not that we frequently bring our kids to racetracks, but my husband grew up around race horses and tries to see races in whatever country we are visiting. We had to beg to be let into the KCR station (can only enter through the race... more
