My family and I did the 4-day Inca Trail hike in June of this year. The company we booked the tour with, Inkatreks, subbed to a local tour company Apu Salkantay. While the Inca Trail itself was amazing, though very grueling, we were often disappointed in our tour company. They first tried to cheat us out of a porter. We... more

Well worth it! It takes three and a quarter days to complete the trek. We did it with GAP Adventures and I recommend them to anyone doing the trek. The porters are fantastic and you get a great three course meal for lunch and dinner. You never go hungry on the trek. As for fitness levels...I am not very fit.... more

My wife and two nine year old boys chose the 4 day Inca Trail hike using Llama Path as our guide and porter service. It was an amazing experience! The hike had: 1) Amazing views 2) Diversity of landscape (cloud forests, snow capped mountains etc...) 3) Archeological interest - every 2-4 hours there would be an Inca site. 4) Great... more

My husband and I just returned from Peru. We did the 4-day Inca Trail with Llama Path. The experience was outstanding, and we would highly recommend Llama Path. Our guide was excellent, the food was great, and the porters were amazing. Doing the trek vs taking the train to Machu Picchu is the way to go if you’re up for... more

I had been wanting to hike the Inca trail to Machu Picchu for 12 years, and when I finally got to do it, it didn't disappoint me. We chose Peru Treks&Adventure based on recommendation from friends and also based on the fact that they care about Porter welfare and give back to the community, and we were VERY happy with... more

We booked with Llama Path directly and would reccomend Great service and food Also heard good things from SAS group, if cant get on Llama Path A few reccomendations 1. Think about doing 5 day option, this will be the highlite of your trip, why not extend it an extra day. 5 days allows for more enjoyment of Trail. More... more

My husband, 2 friends and I just got back from the 4 day trek on the Inca Trail with Peru Treks and I have to say it was amazing. I am usually not one that is outdoors or a camper, but I must say the landscape and the views were amazing and well worth it. We had 16 trekkers in... more

My husband and I just completed the 4-day Inca Trail hike with Peru Treks & Adventures. Believe me when I say we will never forget this trip! It was definitely more difficult than I had expected--both of us are in reasonable shape for 30-somethings and we have very competitive natures, but even so, this was a hard, hard, trek. I... more

I was travelling on my own so spent some time on Trip Advisor looking for reviews on Inca Trail companies and these guys seem to come out on top. When we booked this trip, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. The description on the website of the tour company we used said the trail "winds" through the Andes mountains and enchanting woodlands. Just so you know ahead of time - it does wind...........as it goes up, and up and up. Go to the gym, get... more
