This is a tour boat you will never forget! Don a raincoat and float in the Lower Niagara River. The spray of the falls will soak you clothes and camera, so keep everything safely covered. The power of the waterfall is overwhelming when you look up at it from the river.
Stop at the Information Booth and get a coupon book - then shop til your credit card sizzles with purchasing overload! The clothes and shoes are the main attraction here, but there are hosuewares and toys as well.
With gaming for every gamble, from the rich to the used to be rich, this place is perfect for the lucky and for the unlucky who know when to quit! On top of gambling, the casino offers several excellent restaurants and first class entertainment. No children are allowed, though.
4. Niagara-on-the-Lake
This quaint town across the river has world class theater and restaurants and a Main Street lined with expensive but exclusive shops. Home to the Shaw Festival, it draws tourists from all over the world and is very much worth the thirty minute drive from Niagara Falls, N.Y.
These gardens are magnificent - reminiscent of the lovely gardens in Vancouver, B.C. The working clock consists of thousands of plants and is a testament to the skill and patience of the horticulturists who work here.
With a quick walk inside this venue, you visit a tropical rainforest and the magical butterflies that fly around on gauzy wings. Children and adults love this place.
Goat Island and the smaller islands adjoining bring you within a whisper of the top of the Falls. The Rapids formed by the smashing of water on rock is a magnificent sight to behold. During the summer months, a tourist can enter the "cave of the winds" which leads you to within 20 feet of the Bridal Veil Falls, a thrilling and wet experience.
