Without an organized tour you may take your vehicle and design your own tour of the region, as there are various small wineries that will offer free or inexpensive samples to those who visit, and many will offer facility tours as well. However, if you choose to make your own tour rather than to go with a guided van tour, be sure to bring along a designated driver to get you back home.
