This is an itinerary of what I think would be a perfect taste of all that Niagara Falls has to offer to a first time visitor.

The large rooms, friendly service and spectacular views of the falls from this hotel make it a perfect place to stay in Niagara Falls.
Stepping away from the falls to enjoy the magical beauty of butterflies in a rainforest environment is a perfect way to start your morning before getting caught up in the excitement of the many outdoor activities the falls have to offer.
3. Promenade Niagara Falls
Of course the main event is enjoying the falls themselves. The promenade along the Canadian side offers astounding views of Rainbow Falls and Horseshoe Falls, and the rising mist provides a welcome reprieve to the hot summer sun. Remember your camera!
This steamboat takes you on a round trip into the misty foam at the base of the falls and back. Be prepared to be thrilled—and soaked! This is a wet ride, but well worth the lines and the money.
Downstream from the falls the immense rushing waters carve out the Great Gorge, and form at one point a large and frightening whirlpool. This boardwalk hike along the gorge allows you to witness the wonder of accelerating water up close.
This short but mesmerizing ride in a cable car offers breathtaking views of the Niagara River and Whirlpool below.
7. Wine tour of Niagara-on-the-lake
Wine tours of nearby Niagara-on-the-Lake include local pick-up in Niagara, a tour of one winery and premium wine tastings at a set number of wineries depending on the tour package. Without an organized tour you may take your vehicle and design your own tour of the region, as there are various small wineries that will offer free or inexpensive samples to those who visit, and many will offer facility tours as well. However, if you choose to make your own tour rather than to go with a guided van tour, be sure to bring along a designated driver to get you back home.
8. Return for dinner and nightlife at Fallsview Casino
There is no better way to end a busy day of exploring the wonder of the falls and the serene vineyards and orchards of the region than returning to one of the casinos for a little gambling and nightlife.
