We stayed at the Grand Pineapple Beach Resort for two weeks between September and October 2008. BEACH/LOCATION The big plus point for this hotel is the great beach with fine sand which gently shelves into the sea. Sheltered by reefs which keeps the water lovely and warm. Plenty of water sports provided. Great fun to watch the Pelicans circle overhead... more

My husband and I have just returned from a two week stay in the Grand Pineapple and I have nothing but good to say about it.We arrived after a long flight and were upgraded to a garden view room which also had a sea view. The rooms are a bit tired and could do with some work, mainly cosmetic but you wont... more

We have just returned from the Grand Pineapple Beach and found this holiday amazing. We got a very good deal with the 2for1 sandals offer, which was worth every penny. It was such a shame that the previous reviewer didn’t stay for dinner. In the Topaz restaurant every other night was a delicious 3 course a la carte menu, which... more

This was my third time to Antigua, and first time to Pineapple beach. The calm, white fine sand beach, and crystal clear water is the best part about GPBR. The beach is fabulous, but shade might be a problem at busier times. We upgraded to a beach front room which we felt was well worth doing. I have been to... more

What can I say - we stayed for 7 days and had the time of our lives. I read some of the reviews posted and they are all completely wrong. Yes you do get birds in the morning but it's nothing like a Alfred Hitchcock movie!! The restaurants are all very clean and comfortable and the food is absolutely amazing.... more

We stayed at The Grand Pineapple just as it changed hands over to Sandals. Like other reviews the rooms etc. are a little tired but bearing in mind this is the Carribbean and the kind of weather they have what do you expect! I think when we stayed there they were winding down a little with the handover to Sandals... more

We were looking forward to the holiday in Antigua. Got to the resort in the evening. Had breakfast the next day at the Topaz restaurant which had birds flying around over the food and even a cat appeared couple of the evenings we were having dinner. I asked for a wake up call and did not get it and when... more

My husband, my 2 and ½ year old son and I, just returned from our first visit to Antigua! We stayed at the Grand Pineapple Beach Resort for the week of August 4, 2008 to August 12, 2008. We booked with Sandals directly and used Unique Vacations. We flew with US Airways and LIAT from Buffalo, NY. Being Canadian this... more

We stayed at the Pineapple 25/7/08 - 01/08/08 and were a little worried about some of the adverse reviews but we needn't have worried at all. We would agree whole-heartedly with the last 2 reviews in every respect and add our own comments as follows:- Location and beach was fantastic. The views from all aspects of the resort were breathtaking.... more

We have just returned from Antigua and I would like to share our experience. Having read some of the previous reviews I was in a way dreading the stay at The Pineapple due to some very adverse comments and often wondered whether we should have booked elsewhere. However, our holiday was fabulous and I wouldn't have wanted to have stayed... more
