Just an update to the review from 2003, that this continues to be a good choice for a hotel in Monterrey. I might just add that in immedate walking distance from the hotel (and it is quite safe to walk around in MTY), there is an Applebee's and Chili's if you are American and want something familar. I looked around for hotels in the South East area of Monterrey and found this one. It is lower cost and better than most of the others. Good location, easy walking access to food and shopping.
