The Hotel Encino is a perfect Mexican hotel - the location next to the Rio Cuale is wonderful and the price is certainly right. If you enjoy Centro Puerto Vallarta, you cannot find a better place to stay. Very clean and spacious, and the staff (while not speaking much English) was cheerful and helpful. Fine hotel. Excellent location. Safe. Clean. Friendly staff even though most staff does not speak much English. Keep in mind this is a simple hotel, no frills. Ask for rooms that are away from the generator(?) I used to stay in the hotel zone, but defenitely would stay at the Encino from now on! more
