It's the Four Seasons. Naturally (and rightfully) you expect top-of-the-line, nothing-but-the-best. So when we arrived, I was bubbling with anticipation (this was my first stay at a Four Seasons). The lobby wasn't mind-blowing, but the front desk service was exceptional. I overlooked the average-looking lobby, assuming the rooms would be a wonder. You can probably guess why I am building... more
As other reviewers have pointed out this hotel lacks the "wow" factor of other FS properties .I would never be surprised to see the chain building afresh in this stunning city as the rooms are dated and remodel costs could be high. It is too close to FS home to alow this to continue for too long.(yes I know Vancouver... more
Recently spent a night here before heading up to Whistler, and found the hotel in excellent condition. While some have noted construction, that was clearly done by our visit, and the rooms all had new soft and hard goods. The bathrooms were not a typical Four Seasons layout (lacking a freestanding glass shower, and with a much lower ceiling height... more
I chose to stay at the Four Season in Vancouver because I have always loved the Four Seasons chain of hotels and have stayed at various locations worldwide. The actual hotel was ideally situated in downtown Vancouver near the Conference Center. The lobby, restaurant and service of staff was impeccable. However, the room left much to be desired. The layout... more
My husband and I stayed here for one night before our Princess Alaska Cruise Tour. The price was exorbitant but well worth it, as this hotel had, very possibly, the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. All of the front desk/concierge/bellstaff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel location was ideal as it was an easy walk to... more
We loved our 8 day stay at the Four Seasons Vancouver. Their service was impeccable, from the front desk to the concierge to the bellman. We visited with our 1 year old daughter, and they treated her like a princess. They equipped our room with baby soap, shampoo, lotion, baby powder, a diaper pail, outlet covers, a highchair with a... more
I stayed at the hotel for one night in April 2008. The hotel is in a good location, but I felt it was way overpriced for what we got. Staff were friendly enough and the room was clean, but we could have stayed in most other area hotels (with a clean room and friendly staff) for 2-3 nights for what... more
I was not told the hotel would be under construction when I was there and this made a huge differnce to the quality of my stay. Noise, mess and overal feeling of things a mess did not make for a pleasant stay. The location of this hotel is great but, was disappointed in hotel's appearance during my stay. more
When I was a kid, the old man would treat us 5 kids to brunch at the four seasons about twice a year. I'm sure it almost bankrupted the poor guy but we sure loved and appreciated. That was almost 30 years ago and I swear the place hasn't been updated since. Having said that it has one of the... more
