Booked through Priceline for a reasonable price with no idea what to expect. We were on vacation and needed another night in Toronto. Location was perfect as we were going up the CN Tower for lunch. First room offered was looking out on the train tracks, asked for another room, and oddly got another room facing the tracks, however one... more

I booked the Renaissance because I had business meetings on the West side of downtown TO and with a transit strike threatening I needed to be close enough to walk. I was a bit skeptical by the outside appearance of the hotel but was very pleased by the freindliness and service from the moment I got out of my car... more

While we did get a good price with Hotwire...we were disappointed that this is what we ended up with - it was supposed to be a 4 star - definitely NOT a 4 star property! I think the ratings have been falsely inflated because of positive reviews from baseball fans! A lot of the rooms look right out on to... more

Just got back from a 3 night stay at the Renaissance Toronto that I won on Priceline. Considering the price I paid for the room, I give this hotel a very good rating. We really had no reason to complain about anything during our stay and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We were given a room on the... more

To call this Hotel a four star is an insult to the other fine four star Hotels in the area. The first room that I was given was horrible. Claustrophobic, windows don't open, terrible view, the carpet was ripped and the furniture was badly banged. The cord on the internet connection was short and the set up was such that... more

I was booked into this hotel for one night on a business trip. I was given the choice of the Renaissance or the Royal York. I have stayed at the Royal York in the past (rooms can be small) so I thought I would give this hotel a try. Big mistake! First of all, the 4-star rating is indefensible. I... more

Stayed here for 5 nights at the brginning of March - fact it was -30 didn't help. Room 1 - dark, and smelled of cigarettes - asked to be moved - couldn't that night as the place was full for a convention - but was moved the following day. Room Two - overlooked the Skydome - nice if a ball... more

We stayed here during Thanksgiving weekend when downtown Toronto was almost deserted by normal standards. We came into the city on the Airport Bus and were dropped off at the base of quite a large flight of stairs leading up to the CN Tower, the Rogers Centre (aka Skydome) and the hotel. It's a bit of a haul with luggage... more
