Dear god is all I have to say about this one. I'm not a high maintenance person (far from it), and I accept that in a hostel you generally have to put up with noisy room mates, etc. But this was something else. Three unisex toilets, two showers for a floor of over thirty people. Used sanitary napkins and urine... more

This place is certainly in the ghetto area of Belfast. Scary narrow lane way to reach the property. Would not stay here again. Too scared each time I left the building and not enough trained staff. Had two items taken from my room after cleaning and staff not aware of any lost property box. Hardly slept at night as it... more

It was a school trip to Belfast and our teachers booked this place. I guess, they've never been there before and they just wanted to find a cheap place to stay. I can't remember how much I paid for a night in a DORM room with 12 beds but fact is: IT WAS TOO MUCH. THE AREA around the hostel... more

The hostel is in a good, city centre location (although it is down a dodgey side road) and could give other hostels a run for their money if the owner just spent a bit of money making the environment within the hostel more conducive to social gathering. The rooms are ok (you get what you pay for, I guess), but... more

We stayed at the Linen House last week, 01/04/08 and 02/04/08. We were booked in with a large party of kids and parents who were on a short tour of Ireland. The kids are all members of a Ceilidh band. The whole experience of the Linen House was horrendous!! As soon as we entered the reception area we had serious... more

I spent a few days before new year eve coming there. Apparently, the hostel looked fine. There were many kinds of room available for us. The bad things were shower rooms, half of them were not working well, no hot water or water did not come out from shower. There was internet service in the ground floor, costing 1 pound/30... more

Last week, my girlfriend and I stayed at the Linen House for one night. I booked this hostel about a month ago, and only read reviews about this hostel after doing so. After reading some of these reviews, I was pretty much concerned if booking at this hostel had been wise. Having stayed at the hostel, I can honestly say... more

This place was crawling with bed bugs. The rooms were dirty, the bathroom was dirty and the shower was cold. I got eaten alive by bed bugs and was kept up all hours of the morning with people coming back and chatting outside the window. Would not stay here again. On the upside, the blackcab tour they booked for us... more

My friend and I had the misfortune to stay at the Linen House 18th/19th Nov last year. There was a sign in reception saying you had to pay in full before your stay and there would be no refunds. I now know why! I know it was relatively cheap, but the accomodation was very basic (not a problem) and dirty... more

I stayed in this hostel over the St. Patrick's weekend, '07, with a group of friends. Now, I've stayed in quite a number of hostels across Europe and the US in my time but this has to be one of THE WORST places I've ever stayed! When staying in hostels, you dont exactly expect be staying at The Hilton...or even... more
