I've been to Derry multiple times and have previously stayed at DaVinci's. However, this time I chose City Hotel, and I wasn't disappointed. Our room was spacious and well decorated. Apparently it had been recently renovated. We had a great view of the River Foyle. The food, both in the lobby bar and in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel... more

We stayed at the City Hotel in Derry for three nights in late August. Our room was wonderful, with comfortable beds and a great view of the water. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The bar and resteraunt were also amazing. The hotel is situated within walking distance of everything. We didn't even use a taxi service during our... more

Myself and four girlfriends went to stay for weekend in the City Hotel. It was a great deal - £99 b&b and one evening meal. When we arrived in the hotel, we were greeted by a lovely young receptionist who was extremely friendly and helpful. We had three rooms booked, one we were not very happy about, but they were... more

We just spent the weekend there. We got a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids. We were on a weekend special and had 2 nights with breakfast and one dinner. The bedroom was spacious with 2 double beds which were very UNcomfortable. I didnt sleep well at all -- nor did my husband and kids, This is the... more

We stayed at this hotel for five days and the service was fantastic, right from booking in at 11pm when the car park was full and we were able to use a reserved space at the front of the hotel, to checking out. We have not stayed in any hotel before where all members of staff were so friendly and... more

Managed to get a space in car park, check-in smooth, staff pleasant and a good first impression from lobby and bar area. Rooms clean and adequate. A large group staying at hotel prevented us from getting an immediate table for evening meal but staff made an excellent recommendation about nearby restaurant, The Exchange. Similarly, in the morning, we had to... more

We stayed in room 513 for 1 night on Saturday 24 May 2008. One night was enough! This hotel is close to the shops, restaurants and nightlife. Its easy to find and we were able to park the car in the private underground carpark. The staff are pleasant, the hotel is clean, and the rooms are nicely decorated, and have... more

We were staying in Derry visiting with friends in the area. The hotel is centrally located and an easy walk from the Guild Hall, pubs, shops, and the Derry City Museum. We found the rooms small and cramped and poorly lit. The hallways were always smoky. The breakfast was self-service and quality of the food could have been much better.... more

We booked this using our hotelclub member $ for 2 nights in April 2008. Plenty of parking, but we stayed on a Sunday and Monday night so this probably had something to do with it. Very small parking garage underneath the hotel which is on a first come first served basis. Lobby is bright and spacious. The bar and restaurant... more
