I loved this hotel and I don't understand the bad reviews. The hotel is located close to everything and in a safe area. It is perfect for me and my three friends. we are all 25 and liked being able to cook our own dinners and have a few drinks before we went out. the rooms are huge. Our room... more

The rooms are described as 'apartments' but the kitchen facilities consisted of a cupboard (yes a cupboard!) with a sink inside, kettle, basic cutlery, a few plates, mini-fridge (a bit old looking) and microwave. The room itself felt dated (bits of wallpaper coming off!), but was a decent size. Small tv in corner of room. On both Fri & Sat... more

This was a convenient location and did take notice of my request for a quiet room, but the apartment I had stank of mice! The rooms were a bit dirty, the duvet cover had recent stains (!?) a bit unsavoury-although there were crisp white sheets etc it put me off. There are facilities to cook if you want to & some... more

A tired, somewhat shabby hotel on noisy Lower Baggot street. Not quaint Georgian, but shabby "if I purchased I would gut and start over" Georgian. I would not consider this business or tourist class, but budget class. Might I reccommend an option for business/tourist class on a budget - Quality Hotel on Sir John Rogerson's Quay. more

We stayed in the Latchfords Apartments in Dublin for a few nights in July 2006. The apartment is nice and large. Lots of space for everything. Very, very functional. It is in a good location and you can walk everywhere within 10 minutes. The staff was excellent - very friendly and helpful. There are cafe's and a grocery store within... more

I booked a room here for my husband who came over for 2 nights for a job interview. He was also considering a longer term apart-hotel arrangement for if he took the job. Admittedly there was a heatwave but the room was stiflingly hot, so it's worth remembering this in summer. The telephone switchboard is unmanned from 10pm (officially -... more

Having a 15 year old daughter we aren't keen on booking a separate hotel room for her but she's a bit too old to share our room either! Therefore, Latchfords will be my first choice if we visit Dublin again. The receptionist was really helpful and the facilities were brilliant. We highly recommend it! more

The place is in a great location! The receptionist was wonderful we communicated a few time before my arrival. They do lock the doors in the evening and your given a code to get into the building. If your are going to arrive late night, you will need to let them know. My room was clean and large for one... more

This hotel is a small place, located in what looks like it used to be a residence. The location is within walking distance of almost everything and is very comfortable. It was cheaper than most of the larger hotels in Dublin. Worth looking into if you're going. more

Our flight from London City airport was delayed by 1 hour 45 mins which meant we didn't reach the hotel until just after midnight. Upon arrival we found that the front door was locked and no-one answered as reception was closed! How ridiculous is that? We were not made aware that reception is only open between certain hours and that... more
