This hotel is situated about 15 minute walk from Las Ramblas but there is a metro station 2 mins away with a direct line to the main tourist area.The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful, although we did not use the spa or swimming pool there is free internet access on each floor for guests to use.... more

We have just returned from Acevi Villarroel where we had a very pleasant stay indeed. Certainly a hotel we'd recommend, thats located in a quiet area but within walking distance of Las Ramblas (about 15 mins) and very near a Metro stop called Urgell (5min stroll.) Modern hotel, suites are spacious, restaurant has good food yet very hard seats. Not that many bars and restaurants near the hotel but there is a great deli nearby and a cafe on the end of the street which does nice breakfasts (you can sit outside). This hotel was fantastic! I would have rated it excellent if it weren't for the location being a little out of the way. I wanted to stay up in this area to see how locals live, but there was nothing going on. It wasn't a very long walk to La Rambla, etc, but I wouldn't recommend this location to people... more
