We have just returned from a three night stay in Madrid to celebrate my husband's birthday. As older travellers we expect to pay and receive good service. The hotel did not disappoint. From the airport, it did require an active brain as we did not fit in with the timings of the shuttle bus, so it was metro with help... more

Beautiful hotel, well located for all Madrids attractions. We had a superior room on 8th floor, it was spotlessly clean. Electric shutters and double glazing kept out most of the traffic noise. Air conditioning worked well. Didn't take the breakfast as there are plenty of cafes nearby. Used the free shuttle bus from the airport and the bus back to... more

We arrived on saturday for a three-days trip in Madrid. Since this was our first time there, we loved the absolute central location of the Best Western Atlantico hotel: in the city center, near the Palace, a few steps away from other touristic areas, we could not find a better place to stay in Madrid. When we checked in, we... more

Everyone loves this hotel and for good reason. It is in the most central location in Madrid and is a very impressive looking building. Especially at night. The room is of an OK size but had the two single beds pushed together with individual bedding. I won't ever give a hotel a rating of 5 that does this. It is... more

Excellent hotel, great location, helpful personnel. We landed in Madrid, took the free hotel shuttle from the airport to the hotel, checked in within 3 minutes of arriving, and entered a room with beautiful decor and a bathroom with double sinks, and many amenities. The hotel is located in the center of town, close to many shops, restaurants, and sites.... more

This has got to be one of the finest hotels in Madrid. Although it was my first stay at a hotel in Madrid, I've been in loads of hotels and this one is definately ranked top 10. Everything matched, location, service, breakfast, room etc. We stayed in room 601 which was equipped for disabled people so that was a bit... more

This location is perfect, sandwiched between two metro lines and an easy walk to the center/tourist area. The hotel is pretty and the room was cute. My only complaint is the hotel's silly policy about not allowing guests to put personal items in the mini-fridge. They actually confiscated my water. Other than that, the hotel staff was nice. more

Just want to confirm all the good things said in the previous reviews. On a plaque in the hotel was the name of a castle and although I didn't ask, I think the hotel previously was a castle. It looked like it had recently been redecorated--in fact one floor was being painted while we were there. The red carpet on... more

Dear Mr/Ms Guest: Let me start by thanking you for completing our Guest Survey regarding your recent stay at our property. With reference to your question asking about if the hotel was a castle, unfortunately it didn't. It is was conceived and built in 1920 by the architect Joaquin Saldaña in a French style. I hope this clarify your question,...

The lobby of this hotel is gorgeous and looks very luxurious and then we get to our room and it's old looking but clean. The maid turns the bed for the evening and leaves a chocolate which was a nice touch. This place is on Grand Via which is a very busy street in Madrid but close to all the... more

Dear Mr/Ms Guest: Let me start by thanking you for completing our Guest Survey regarding your recent stay at our property. I apologize for not exceeding your expectations with reference the decoration of our rooms. All our rooms are individually decorated following the trend as per our interior decorator advise. Rooms with flowers are new too; we have flowers, lines,...

The hotel is as all the reviews say - very conveniently located, recently renovated, pretty charming. When we got in, we got a room with 2 small beds instead of one. When I complained, we were promised to have the room switched the next morning. Despite being cautious of the famous Spanish "manana" they did keep their promise, and gave... more

Dear Mr/Ms Guest: First of all thank you for completing our Guest Survey regarding your recent stay at our property. I apologize for not exceeding your expectations with reference the parking.
