This hotel is in the Trastevere district of Rome across the Tiber, but it is two bridges down from the central Tiber bridges. The location was a bit out of the way, although there is a tram right outside that stops frequently and takes one through Trastevere and into the heart of Rome in about ten minutes. It took 30... more
Loved the hotel and the Travestare area was very charming, very close to the main sights but quieter with local charm. First all the staff was incrediably friendly and helpful. Made you feel very much at home as well as honored guests. The room was beauitiful and imaculate with a a steam shower with a nice view over the main... more
I stayed at this hotel for 4 days in May, and I found the stuff very friendly, esp. Paolo at the front desk, who gave great tips on how to get around in Rome from the hotel, using public transport. His tip was so useful on the day of my arrival that i had no difficulty finding Vatican and Colosseum... more
Trying to find a hotel in Rome, in the spring, is not easy, but we were lucky enough to book a family room (connecting rooms with a shared, small hallway) at the Trilussa. We stayed for 4 days (3 nights) and our aim was to visit all the obvious highlights of Rome. We are a family of four (kids aged... more
We have just returned from a 3 night stay in Rome and were very impressed with the location and levels of service on offer from this hotel. The staff were very amenable and allowed us early access in to the room on arrival. They provided us with lots of useful tips on how to make the most of our stay... more
I did a lot of research when booking my first family vacation to Rome. With the weakness of the U.S. dollar, staying in 'downtown Rome' was not only out of our range (we needed SIX rooms), but, also, wouldn't have allowed us the more personal "small establishment" feel that we received at Trilussa Palace. A Roman friend suggested the Trastevere... more
We recenty returned from a six night stay in Rome at the Trilussa Palace for our honeymoon. We were immediately struck by how friendly and accommodating the staff were. The hotel was excellent with spa and gym. However note that there is an additional charge to use the spa. Massage and other treatments are available and are quite pricey but... more
We loved this hotel and wouldn't hesitate in staying there again. Room was spotless, breakfast was good and the staff were extremely helpful on reception. They gave us a map on arrival marking out all the places of interest. We were close to all the restaurants for the evening and walked to all the attractions during the day. What more... more
We stayed in the "Junior Suite" and were a littel surprised at how small the room was (see pics). It was basically 5ft larger than a regular room with two single roll away beds placed in the room. There was very little closet or drawer space and we basically had to live out of our suitcases in a very small... more
