I was disappointed in our room Our room was really dreary. I was surprised, because I had read several upbeat reviews. There was construction going on in the courtyard behind our room, but we were not bothered by construction noise. The location is good. We had no trouble with street noise. We enjoyed one of the close by "student" restaurants.... more

I couldn't say anything negative about this Hotel. It had a small, intimate feeling. The rooms were very comfortable and made you feel at home with the furnishings. The staff was very accommodating. After much research, I booked this hotel for a week. A bit expensive compared to the competition, but in the very best location if you are interested in the ancient city center. Wonderful, wonderful and wonderful. It is an ancient building in the centre of the oldest part of the city. Everything there seems to be as if it were the renaissance period. I experienced this hotel in the best way. Excellent staff and high tech services are available. I recommend staying there absolutely. more

Walked to hotel from bus station and the route was mainly through the lovely cobbled streets. Easy to find. Centrally located with nearby bars with plenty of outside seating for an early evening drink. Reception staff are helpful and speak good English.
