We had an excellent experience at this hotel. We booked well in advance to get a good price, and payed about 105 Euro/night. It is about 10 mins walk from the train station and relatively easy to find. Be warned though...everywhere in Venice you must pay for maps, about 2.50 Euro. If you can find some for free then get... more

We paid 100eur for a double room. Double room is what they call it. The place was 2x3m not bigger and the bed barely fit in! The bathroom was also tiny and we had problem getting hot water in the room. The room was a real dungeon, the ceiling was falling on us, the mold was crawling up the wall,... more

We liked the Locanda Herion. The location on a main shopping street in a more "workaday" part of Venice just adds to the charm (& the noise). Remember that you're in a living city here & not in the countryside! Finding the hotel & the entrance is a bit of a lark. Once in, the hotel is rather charming even... more

First, let me say that our experience here was not typical. I had spent ages researching hotels in Venice, and given the cost and availability in high season, I was satisfied that this was a good choice. We paid €450 for 3 nights. Our room (#9), which was booked months in advance, was very small and our bed was a... more

went with couple of friends, our room was big (two floors), bathroom was brand new and huge. the extra bed was an actual bed, no sofa bed. they seem to have done some remodeling. the entrance/reception was new, also the entrance was moved to the main street. front desk staff very friendly, kept our luggage at the reception, no luggage... more

A room at the Locanda Herion was unexpected...we originally booked a room at Hotel Tintoretto also in the Cannaregio district however due to "plumbing" problems, we were placed at Locanda. The hotel served our basic needs well: a double bed, a/c (very cold), a private bathroom, and a quick breakfast. We left our bags and confirmed our reservation at 12... more

Firstly Id like to point out that this Hotel has mixed reviews and I can see why........ The room in which we stayed had a pull down sofa bed, I don't think any of the pictures they have mention a sofa bed......but we got one, no fridge or cooler and the smallest bathroom known to man. Edging round the toilet... more

Our only night in romantic Venice was nearly spoiled by staying at this hotel. When we arrived to check-in, we were told the only room remaining was #1--which turned out to be a 11X 7 space with a only a bed and a small wood chair--no closet or dresser & not enough room to even open our suitcases except by... more

We stayed two nights at this hotel. We based our selection on Trip Advisor reviews. There was little choice in Venice at that time of year so we counted ourselves lucky to find a clean, spacious room at a reasonable price. Our cost was less than the usual rate so that factored into our satisfaction. We took the water taxi... more

This place was fantastic. We arrived by train into Venice and found the Locanda Herion with little trouble. The sign is easy to miss but if you keep your eyes out for the directional signs leading up to it you will have no trouble. Great location - everything is in walking distance in Venice anyway but we felt the accommodation... more
