Great directions from Vecellio as to how to get to there by waterbus meant that our trip from the train station was easy and fast. On arrival we were greeted warmly by Matteo and led to our comfortable ground-level room. The room was clean and well-appointed, and the bathroom, though a little tight, was also very clean. Best of all,... more

Location very convenient for waterbuses to/from airport and to anywhere in Venice or the outlying islands. 10-15 mins walk to Rialto-St Marks area or to the station in the other direction. Relatively quiet area. Very friendly hotel, spotlessly clean, rooms small but full of character -- the building is 500 years old, but has been recently refurbed, so it's the... more

After finding this hotel on Trip Advisor and reading positive reviews, I quickly booked this property for my recent trip to Venice. Although the hotel's location is slightly remote from major tourist attractions, it is convenient to a major vaparetto stop between the airport and Venice and also just two stops away from Murano. It was only a 10 minute... more

This hotel is excellent value for money. We stayed here for part of our honeymoon, the hotels seems recently refurbished and very clean. The room was very pretty with a beautiful carved four poster bed. The rooms wern't massive but didn't seem small neither. Bathroom was very clean and new. The hotel is right on a water taxi stop which... more

My boyfriend and I have just returned from spending 2 nights at this hotel. We booked it via the Easyjet website which was considerably cheaper than the price quoted direct from hotel. Arrival at the hotel could have not been easier - the water boat leaves from just a few minutes outside the airport (well signposted) and takes approx 30-45... more

Based on comparative prices in Venice this hotel is great value for money. It is a bit of a walk from the main hot spots but you're never far from the action in Venice. If you don't catch the water taxi to the hotel from the train station it will be about a 20 minute walk. Breakfast was included and... more

We've just got back from a wonderful weekend staying at the Hotel Vecellio and had a lovely time. We had the Red Room (number 4) which has wonderful views out over the lagoon to Murano. The room has deep windowsills which you can sit on to watch the world go by. The cunning thing is that the windows are mirrored... more

We took the water bus Alilaguna from the airport to the hotel it was the second stop at Fondamenta Nove, take a left over the bridge and the hotel is there on your right with a small canopy over the door. It was late when we arrived after a quick check in we were taken to our room upstairs no.6.,... more

Great little place to stay! I did research on Trip Advisor (thank you fellow travellers!) before selecting this hotel. Quiet and away from the noise of heavily travelled tourist spots but near to Rialto Bridge and other sites. It's about a 15 minute walk to San Marco (if you know the short-cuts) and I would say 30-35 minute if you... more
