The location of the hotel is perfect for a walking tour of Venice. It is in St Croce so close to everything and yet not in the crowded areas. In addition if you have good mobility and not too much luggage you are close to the train station (about 10 min walk) and close to the bus station (15 min).... more
I have always wanted to see Venice so I treated my husband to a romantic stay in Venice for just over 5 days and we stayed at Ca San Giorgio. Both Chiara & Silva were really lovely and went out of their way to be helpful in giving advice on how to find places, they booked our first nights meal... more
We had a 2 night stay and it was simply delightful. Chiara met us on arrival and took the time to familiarise us with our location and all that was around us. That was a really nice thing to do. It made us feel very welcome. The room was £150 a night which is expenisive, but cheap for Venice at... more
I chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the train station and it was a good choice for that. It was ok to leave our luggage downstairs before the room was ready, and on our departure. The room was lovely. It was in the eaves with beamed ceiling but very bright and all still quite new. A few gripes... more
We had a most enjoyable two nite stay at Ca San Giorgio. It is located within easy walking distance of the train station and is in a non-touristy area. From there ,all major attractions and good shopping can be easily reached. The rooms are quite charming and the staff was very anxious to make our Venice experience as memorable as possible.... more
This was such a magical and charming little hotel right next to a traghetto stop an dvery near a vaparetto stop. It was very convenient to the train station and most everything is very close by. Sylvia and Chiara were extremely helpful and welcoming...so much so that I decided to cut my stay short in Florence and came back to... more
This was a lovely place to stay, easily accessible on foot to the train station/Piazzale Roma which in Venice with all the maze of streets is a big plus! The hotel itself is very comfortable, rooms lovely and the breakfast ample, so you feel well rested and fed (not that that's ever a problem in Italy!) before you head out... more
Just returned from a lovely visit here with my 2 daughters. Its a beautiful place in a quiet part of Venice away from all the noise and touristy areas. we stayed in the top room, the "Altana" which has its own rooftop terrace. I highly recommend it. more
This was my sixth trip to Venice since 2000, and we have stayed at different hotels each time. We have finally found the hotel we will ABSOLUTELY book again. The locations is a fairly short walk from the train station with only two bridges to navigate if you have luggage. It is in a somewhat residential area which meant that... more
