this was my first time staying at the frederiksplein hotel and it was amazing. the actual hotel is beautiful, obvious that a lot of thought and creativity went into the design. the staff is friendly and helpful and the location is ideal - close to everything. i've stayed at the other hotel V twice and was pleasantly surprised that my... more

Hotel is not expensive. Rooms are very very small but comfortable. Lighting is not a +. Nice to have free internet. CI was not very efficient. I asked if there was internet in the room. Agent confirmedand could hve givenme the code straight away avoiding me calling the front desk (line was busy for a long period). When you have... more

we arrived in the afternoon at hotel V Frederiksplein. Location is perfect right in the city center close to the trendy districts “de Pijp” and “Utrechtsestraat”. We were over well med by the astonishing interior and design of the hotel. We were pleased by the nice and friendly staf that gave us a warm welcome at the front desk. I... more

We stayed here for 5 nights in August, very close to the city centre, you can catch a tram from outside the hotel to all areas. For a good night out head into Leidseplein on the number 7 tram or 10.... the pub the "Last Waterhole" is a great spot if you want to hear live bands & theres lots... more

I stayed at Hotel V for 4 nights in March. I’m pretty sure that the hotel hadn’t been open for long, but I didn’t notice any lack in service or facilities. Quite the contrary, Hotel V was a very welcoming and comfortable experience. I stayed in room 310, which included two single beds. While the room was typically… snug, I... more

During seveal visits to Amsterdam previously I have always tried to stay in and around the famous Red light Area. This is the first time we stayed at a hotel a "little farther out", but was indeed surprised to find it isn't far out at all, it was very central for all the main tourist areas, Leidesplien and Rembrandtsplien as... more

My boyfriend and I decided (at the very last minute) to go on a city-trip to Amsterdam, we just had one small problem to conquer and that was to find a hotel room, everything seemed to be booked! Via a friend who lives in Amsterdam I heard about this new hotel, Hotel V, which opened their second hotel in Amsterdam... more

Stay here only if you like living underground with one very small window, no way to cool an extremely hot room, no daily room service and inaccurate bills. Checked in and was put in a basement room with one window at ceiling level that measured about 1' x 2' and opened onto the ground. The room was over 90 degrees... more

I would recommend Hotel V to anyone trying to search out a hip hotel, minus the crazy price tag. The location in Amsterdam is great, just a stones throw away from all major attractions. yet at a good distance from other over crowded tacky tourist areas. The staff were super friendly and on hand 24 hours. Not the most spacious... more

We spent 2 nights at the hotel for a weekend in Amsterdam. Booking was simple and efficient and we received a warm welcome upon arrival. The staff were always friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The double room on the top floor was very tastefully decorated, with carefully chosen colours and expensive fabrics. The bed itself was extremely comfortable. An... more
