A hotel which belongs to the LHW leading hotels of the world. It also belongs to NH hoteles, which normally has fair standard hotels. Apperantly they have a few more luxurious hotels in there chain. Unfortunately, I cannot say that it belongs with the leading hotels. The property in itself is very impressive and its surroundings are very nice especially... more

We loved our stay two weeks ago. The first sight of the hotel will amaze you as you drive through columns and into a circular driveway. Upon stopping we had two bell persons at our car welcoming us and escorting us to check in. The staff were so polite and charming we knew we were in for a great stay.... more

We booked this as a short break through Expedia. On our arrival the hotel staff had some trouble clarifying confirmation of payment etc (apparently they needed vouchers from us - turns out they would have been sent these from Expedia direct). So anyone else going down this same route just be prepared for a bit of explanation at the beginning... more

I was invited to a wedding with reception and hotel overnight stay at this truely fantastic hotel in early December 07. Highly recommendable - a true five star experience: fantastic location with spectactular views, grandiose building, immaculate service, luxury +++, exquisite food both supper and breakfast, *very* beautiful classical modern rooms, outstanding spa and two saunas. - I noticed from... more

You know you are in for something special if you drive up to the hotel at night. The winding uphill road through the forest makes it feel totally out of way and this feel is enhanced by the long driveway. Nice lobby as well. The room seemed to be almost new (a good thing generally as I like conteporary) but... more

The Buehlerhoehe is wonderful, even for the scenery alone. The hotel is beautiful - the grounds, the open spaces, the pool area. We had a balcony room, which was worth the additional expense. In all honesty, while the hotel is wonderful, the staff helpful, and the rooms luxurious, you're paying for the view, so pay extra for a mountain view... more

As a member of the Leaders Club, I have stayed at scores of the 5-star hotels throughout the world included in the member group called the Leading Hotels of the World. The Bühlerhöhe is the first of such hotels that is seriously disappointing. The service, attitudes and lack of professionalism of the staff and management are largely at fault. They... more

Bühlerhöhe is by far the best hotel I've ever experienced. Phantastic staff, stunning views, great food, wonderful spa (again with stunning views). Simply gorgeous. Go there if you can. The pictures I included were taken when living in the so-called "China Suite". more

Book breakfast inclusive - it's not standard but worth it (champagne and every breakfast food i could think of with the best views from the dining room) and this place is miles from anywhere. Hotel, staff, service, food, relaxation, spa treatments, cocktails, views all superb but we stayed a week and that might have been a little too long as... more
