Although not central, the position is nice on the banks of Danube but also close to Margit Island. The rooms (at least Standard ones) don't seem to be 5 star, they are more like 4 star, but the Spa area is very good and I had a very relaxing stay. Spa area is free of charge for hotel's clients and... more

Just got back yesterday after 4 day break in Budapest.I had been before but took my mother for the 1st time. When i arrived was further out than expected but this was not at all a problem but a benefit we thought after a hard days sightseeing in the center. Public transport in budapest is great with a great variety... more

We booked our stay at the Ramada Plaza in Budapest on Travelocity - after researching it on TripAdvisor. It has to be said that most of the reviews on here are about right. The hotel is clean, neat and tidy and the staff speak very good english and are polite. Our room included all the features you would expect -... more

This hotel was not especially near the city center. It was on the Buda side of the river, near the castle and Gellert Hill, right across from one of the islands in the Danube. It was clean and the staff were friendly but it had no personality - like you would expect from a Ramada Hotel. There were no restaurants... more

We spent two nights at the Ramada as part of a Trafalgar Tour. The hotel was comfortable and the breakfast good. Bed was comfortable, staff helpful, and cleanliness acceptable. A large island and park is a short walk across a busy bridge. Nice place to get some exercise and meet locals. Location of the hotel is not convenient to walk... more

My expectations were on the low side, since I've had negative experiences in some other Budapest hotels. Given that, I was extremely pleasantly surprised. I had a modern, spacious business-level room. It overlooked the river, although as it happened the weather was poor enough that the view never did much for me. In the summer it should be nice --... more

Got a free stay at this hotel as a gift. This ex-Corinthia Aquincum hotel is a real pleasure. Very comfortable rooms. Ample buffet breakfast and GREAT spa facilities which are included free in your stay. Even if it is not very central, a suburban line stop just outside the hotel would get you to the city centre in around 10mins.... more

We just came back from a 4-day trip to Budapest. We chose the Ramada Plaza because for a 5-star hotel, the price was very attractive. Upon arriving we discovered that the reason for the low price was that the hotel was out of the city center. We soon found the HEV (suburb train)station, that was very close. The HEV was very... more

We've been in Ramada Plaza Bp. (earlier Corinthia Aqvincum) this April. The hotel has a view on the Danube near Arpad Bridge and Margitsziget, but unfortunately you can enjoy the view only from a couple of rooms. Booking: At first we experienced smaller problems with booking, because there is an other Ramada Hotel in Budapest, and the Booking Center of... more

This hotel was chosen by the tour company I was with. I would never chose a hotel so far from what you come to Budapest to see. Taxis are expensive and the public transportation was not direct to the city center. At night, the area around the hotel was absent people walking around and dark. It just did not feel... more
