This hotel is beautiful and within walking distance to Georgetown but that's about it. It is far from everything else. The room was lovely and the view of the Westin was nice. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Nice but I wouldn't recommend it more

I really enjoyed my stay here. I have found Fairmonts to be pretty close in quality to Four Seasons and Ritz-Carltons, but a lot cheaper in price (if you search for a deal). This hotel was no exception. The service isn't quite up to the FS/RC level, but everything else was. The hotel is in DC's West End, about five... more
Having stayed in many Fairmont properties this property around Dupont Circle/ Georgetown was small and grand on the outside. Greetings from the doorman opened the door to a marble lobby and concierge waiting for requests. The property sits in a quiet young proffessional part of DC with an easy to walk to any cafe or nightclub. The hotel's gift shop... more
My husband and I, my mother and my in-laws stayed on the Gold Level to celebrate our daughter's graduation. We liked and used the lounge area with its complimentary food and beverages. The service was friendly and professional. I am a dog lover and a dog owner. Unfortunately, I am also allergic to dogs, something that I discovered after allergy... more
A late night arrival to Washington, DC resulted in the happy circumstance of a complimentary upgrade to the Concierge/Preferred Club level as no other rooms were available in the hotel. I never wanted to leave! Friendly, helpful staff, a beautifully spacious and luxuriously appointed room with details you never knew you'd want until The Fairmont offered them to you. Complimentary... more
Like other reviewers, I was hardly blown away by this place. I have posted a few negative reviews lately, so trust I am not becoming demanding in my old age (I just turned 30). I guess my reaction has to be placed in context. I'm not a fan of DC. Once you get over the excitment of iconic sights like... more
Just visited the DC Fairmont for my husband's 50th birthday./ Wanted a getaway that we could bring the pup. The Fairmont accepts pets with no extra fees. After reading all the posts, I was apprehensive. Our experience was fantastic. Pamela checked us in and was professional and quite nice. We enjoyed a lovely lunch outside (during the heatwave!) The woman... more
Room Service is an absolute disaster. Order breakfeast, place placard on door...No Service at all.....Had to call next morning for service...Order again for salad....arrived after 40 minutes ....11 minutes after latest promise time, only after call to manager...totally unacceptable....just poor poor performance. more
My wife and I spent the weekend at the Fairmont DC earlier this month. We had been there a couple years ago, had a nice experience, and were looking forward to our return. We were very disappointed. Both service and decor have gone downhill, especially taking into account the premium rates they still charge. Full credit to the check-in clerk,... more
My wife, infant child and I stayed here for three nights while I was at a conference and all I can say is that everything was just about perfect. This is by far the best business/luxury hotel that we have ever stayed in. The room was large and just about flawless and the staff was impeccably nice and helpful. All... more
