Congratualtions on a beautful remodel, the design is great, the materials first class but unfortunately the beauty is only skin deep. This hotel has serious noise issues, One can hear clearly a guest talking three rooms down. I cling on every word of the 4 year old next door who wakes up at 5 am and the family down the... more

This hotel was one of the hotels that had blocks of rooms reserved for a wedding we were attending. Our room cost WAS $219/night, but it was one of the better rates we could get. Shortly after booking this room, I received an email from the Palomar stating that they offer a room upgrade plan. If they do not sell... more

Spent 4 great nights at the Hotel Palomar. Excellent staff and facility. Jacqueline, Phillip, and Octavia are all wonderful representatives of this hotel. Each were pleasant, outgoing, and helpful in their own ways! The hotel offers a complementary wine bar from 5-6 each night. It was a terrific way for guests to mingle and speak with hotel employees. One underrated... more

We stayed at Hotel Palomar for 2 nights the weekend of July 25-26 and had a great time. After booking directly through the hotel, I received an e-mail saying we could potentially upgrade our room for a small extra fee if the 'bonus rooms' weren't already booked when we arrived. So, for $15 more, we got a room with a... more

Stayed at the Palomar in June 2008 with two kids, a teenager and 10 yr old. The good – The rooms are nice looking, upscale and modern. The beds are wonderful, among the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, with soft high-thread sheets and lovely bedding. The Dupont Cirlce location is very convenient, close to the Metro and restaurants. There... more

We just returned from another 4 day/3 night stay at the Hotel Palomar in Washington, DC. My wife and I have stayed at this hotel 3 separate times - three nights in July 2008 (in a King Spa Room), three nights in January 2008 (in a Queen/Queen Deluxe Room) and one night several years ago when it was the Radisson... more

Our accomodations are 1st rate and our location is fantastic and in close proximity to all of the major sightseeing venues and only 3 blocks away from the Metro station. Our outdoor pool is a hidden paradise away from the D.C. hustle and bustle. Palomar Hotel General Manager

We arrived after a 5 hour car ride from North Carolina, after visitng with my Mom and family for 1 week. It was woderful to just pull up the front of the hotel, walk in, and let the staff handle eveything else, luggage, parking, the kids - just joking about the kids! This property is very beautiful, everything is styled... more

Have stayed here many times over the past five years. I'm still a fan but the hotel is definitely going downhill. Public spaces are getting a bit shabby (elevators, pool area, etc.) and service has DEFINITELY gone downhill. Everyone is lovely and friendly but the quality of service is not anywhere near a four-star level. Maid service is perfunctory -... more

The entire hotel was renovated under 2 years ago and recently added new 37” plasma televisions to every guest room in the hotel. Our pool is immaculate and is a tranquil getaway for anyone looking to relax and cool down after a busy day. Palomar Hotel General Manager

Had a wonderful experience with the Hotel Palomar in Dupont Circle. Booked four nights through the Kimpton website. My only other experience with a Kimpton property was last month in San Francisco at The Argonaut. Based on that great time, I wanted to try another. Booked a last-minute special AAA rate of $179 a night for two queens and was... more

This hotel promises so much and delivers so little. The rooms, with doors to adjoining rooms, provide zero sound insulation and so zero privacy. The Internet connection for wireless wasn't available as advertised, and the LAN connection was extremely slow. Lighting in the room was barely adequate, even during the day due to shadows cast by neighboring buildings. My wife... more
