My Dad and I stayed at the Dar El Menia for a week in Fes and absolutely loved it. The Dar is beautifully restored with the original mosaics, woodwork, and marble floors and the people are wonderful. The Dar El Menia is the ideal retreat from the bustling, winding medina. Graham and Gail were wonderful and Hicham and his family... more

Our Group consisted of a party of girlfriends. We spent two weeks in Morocco staying at Casablanca and Marrakech. We spent four days in Fez staying at Dar El Menia and we had the best time!. We rented the house as a whole which worked out very reasonable. Hicham met us at the train station and help us sort out... more

My girlfriend and I arrived at Fez airport our taxi was waiting for us and dropped us at an unassuming car park to be met by Hicham. He took us to Dar El Menia through tiny streets. Fez is an amazing place like no where we'd been before. The house is just perfect centered around a atrium with huge doors... more

Dar El Menia offers fist class accommodation at excellent prices. We were a large party and booked the whole house. The price per night per person came to 27.50€ so we were expecting cheap and chearful. Instead we got one of the best houses I have ever stayed in. The rooms are large and comfortable but what really impresses is... more

Dar El Menia provided a stunning and tranquil reprieve from the wonderful madness Fes, and we loved the balance of meeting fellow travelers while also getting to know Hicham and his family a bit during our stay. I guess the high light of the stay was the food Um Kalthum cooked for us and served us on the terrace but... more

I first went to Dar El Menia with friends in December last year and we all had a fantastic time. Fes is an extraordinary and unique place, the Medina has a medieval atmosphere with its tiny streets, donkey jams and local color. My second stay at Dar El Menia was with my boyfriend and we had, yet again, a superb... more

Wow! What an amazing place to stay! Dar El Menia is simply stunning. We arranged with the house to be picked up at the airport and arrived at a car park by grand taxi to be met by Hicham, all went without a hitch. We arrived wandering through narrow, noisy, twisting streets, through an unassuming but beautifully carved door and... more

A friend and I stayed for a few days in April 2007, and will certainly come again. The house is exquisitely restored, the people who run it warm and friendly (giving advice on restaurants and a local hammam). The owner was there at the time, and he and his guests treated us as friends, inviting us to eat with them... more
