This place is fantastic and had better food than anywhere else we stayed on out 8-day Safari (three Serena Lodges and one other small camp). I remember some fried vegetable things that were especialy fantastic. The bathrooms are especially impressive given the remote location, but be ready for a quick shower - each person gets on bucket of hot water.... more

Sayari was the highlight of our Tanzania trip - I hadn't heard of it but it was recommended by our tour operator to escape to. Such a beautiful place, fantastic people and delicious food. When we decided to go to Tanzania we asked to stay away from the concentrations of tourists. We were looking for the remote and nomadic spirit of Africa.
