The first time I visited this conveniently located Hotel was back in 1981. In some parts it has improved now. They have been adding a new reception area and a couple of rooms to the old building. I would recommend a stay at the Hotel Ambassador for a variety of important, but different reasons. First off, the location is GREAT: just between the tourist hub of Thamel, and the major Embassies, in Lajimpat. Easy access, and central to the city.
