We were recently in Israel for a very short time (3 days) and decided to book at Hotel De La Mer. I contacted the hotel directly and they were very quick to respond to the dates that we were looking for. Based on the reviews on here, I thought it would be a great little hotel for us. Turns out... more

I don't get the raving reviews. We love small hotels, but this one was just not good. Smallest room I've ever been in (and I have been to small rooms!) Barely enough room to walk around the bed. Feng Shui? Small, cramped, no ambiance of any kind. Small balcony, more than half of which was taken up by the AC.... more

My husband and I just returned home after a 9 day stay at this little hotel. I cannot say enough good things about it! We stayed in one of the oceanview suites. It was clean, comfortable and roomy. It's true that there is a parking lot in between the hotel and the beach, but this in no way obstructed nor... more

We returned to de la Mer this year after enjoying our stay there three years ago. Since our last visit, the hotel has opened a new dining room. While this was a welcome addition, it's time for the owner to concentrate on improving the rooms. While its location two blocks from the beach is great, the hotel's small rooms are... more

After going to register at the desk,I was given a room key. The reservation had been made several months earlier. The room was on the first floor overlooking construction. I noticed the room had not been adequately cleaned and when I turned back the bedspread noticed that the sheets were dirty and there was hair all over the bed. I... more

Our first hotel experience in Israel! Dedicated & very friendly staff also speaking french fluently (we did not expect this) Parking lots nearby. Great breakfast made by an enthousiastic cook; beyond expectation & better then breakfast served in some more "well known" hotels. Very close to the beach and beach boulevard with lots of restaurants & bars also nearby. Our... more

I booked directly with the hotel for 2 nights. They gave me an excellent price, because they had one free room which they wanted to sell. My single room faced the sea, though with a parking lot in between. It was larger than most single rooms usually are, though the shower stall was quite tight. During the night there turned... more

We stayed at this hotel from the end of May through the first week in June. The hotel staff was excellent, friendly and always willing to help out. We stayed in the one triple room they had. The room was small, the view less than memorable, but it was always clean. There was a small refridgerator in the room that... more

At the end of a group tour of Israel, I extended for three nights in Tel Aviv and booked this hotel after doing some web research, including Tripadvisor reviews. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I enjoy walking so I found this hotel to be centrally located and also just a few steps from the beach. My room was kept absolutely... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, then re-checked in for a 5th night at the end of our trip. This is a boutique hotel, so it is small, and by far the smallest boutique hotel I've stayed in. I think we might have stayed in the smallest room they have. There was barely any place... more
