I agree with the reviewer who said that this could be a world class destination. Its got it all, the approach by speedboat, the views over the fjord and the mountains, the architecture of the building, the thermal pools. I would echo that other reviewer's thoughts on what is wrong with the place So why do I not rate it... more

I enjoyed at this amazing lodge a 4 night-stay programm at the end of March. I've never been in such a beautiful place before. It's located in a hidden bay in the chilean fiords of Patagonia, in one of the most picturesque spots that you can imagine: native woods, green waters, hills & natural hot springs The staff was awesome,... more

My whole trip to Aisén in northern Patagonia was magical, but I was really surprised to find a hotel/spa of this calibre hidden in the forest bordering a fjord. The lodges' rustic chic accomodations offer guests a top-notch dining experience including delicious Chilean wines and the best cuisine I tasted in the region. Another surprise is soaking in the spa's... more

From the minute we arrived on the ferry and walked in the pouring rain to the reception (used to being met by staff with an umbrella), and the saw the front door which was dirty and in disrepair... I said to my husband...."this in not a good sign". The carpet in the main lobby/living room was filthy and thread bare,... more

I stayed here in November 2001 and had the most wonderful time. I had a ground floor room with a large terrace over looking the sea and then on to the mountains in the distance. It was incredibly peaceful and beautiful. The room was large, had a sitting area with big picture windows and a door leading to the terrace.... more

My experience at The Puyuhuapi Lodge was truly a slice of heaven. Originally I booked the lodge and catamaran for my fiancee and me. Before we got to Patagonia, we broke up. I decided to go anyway---alone. From the moment I was picked up at the airport in Balmaceda to leaving five days later from the airport in Chucabuco, my... more

We are very impressed with Patagonia Connection and the Puyuhuapi Lodge and Spa. We booked our tour directly with Patagonia Connection, and felt that the service was excellent. The tour consisted of four days of visiting the South of Chile, and travelling to the Laguna San Rafael. The travel was done on a top quality Catamaran, with a very qualified... more

I spent three nights at the Termas de Puyuhuapi as part of a four night package, which included a catamaran trip to the San Rafael Glacial Lagoon, booked through Patagonia Connection (the fourth night of this package was in the Loberias del Sur hotel in Puerto Chacabuco). I was pleased, overall, with my experiences. My stay started with a pickup... more

While the location is very beautiful, Puyuhaupi is a "luxury" resort hotel with mediocre service. Their high prices do not make the place worth staying in, and they should have better-trained and more motivated staff and management to make the place a more rewarding experience. In only one night, I experienced disillusioned staff, a room with a noisy piping problem,... more

Puyuhuapi was a slice of heaven. I stayed there with my boyfriend last year for a 3-day package. The commute down was a little long but very exciting and the crew kept you entertained, well fed and nothing beats their welcome drink. I felt like royalty. They had natural hot springs that left my skin soft and glowing- the service... more
