Having visited Sharm El Sheikh twice, previously at the Royal Albatros and Sheraton I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews. No the hotel is not like the Ritz in London but you also don't pay for that kind of quality. We upgraded to a sea view room which to be fair wasn't really worth it as... more

Cannot understand why this is not in the top 5. Anybody who complains about this hotel, must have a weird sense of what to expect from a 'proper 5 star'. We had private transfers to the hotel, accompanied by a guide, upon arrival we were seated in the lobby, given cool towels and a welcome cocktail, our check in was... more

I'm not usually one to write reviews, I tend to go on a holiday and as soon as I'm back I begin to plan my next trip away, however, in light of the negative comments I feel I should share my experiences. I went to Sharm in June '08 with my Dad. He is 50 and I'm 22. This age... more

Sharm el Sheik might be great place for diving but our experience , unfortunately , was a very different one with regards to our hotel - we travelled with Thomas Cook- but were told on arrival that actually they have take out the Hotel of their programme (mmmmh- ?) If you stay in the Ritz Carlton, you would think, it... more

I came back from the Ritz Carl;ton Sharm El-Sheikh yesterday. Unlike some other reviews I cannot fault the place. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. I have a problem walking and managed to get a buggy/golf cart to take me wherever I needed to go. I stayed in a standard room, which is large with all the ameneties you... more

Just returned from a great week at the Ritz Carlton in Sharm. We found the hotel to be excellent and overall it was a fabulously relaxing holiday. My boyfriend and I stayed on a B&B basis which suited us as we like to get out and see a bit of local life/colour rather than spending every moment in the resort.... more

We have just returned from the Ritz Carlton in Sharm and I cannot express how poorly we were treated. We received the usual cold towel and juice greeting until I produced the confirmation that I received from Ritz Carlton. The check-in clerk immediately called the hotel manager, who asked us how we got the rate and said that we were... more

We only went to the Ritz Carlton for dinner rather than actually staying there but I feel obliged to warn people about what I felt was a serious mosquito problem. Our meal in the La Luna restaurant was lovely, but spoilt rather by constant presence of these pests - I think I killed at least five while we were in... more

We had an amazing time, the staff were appropriate all the time. We spent two weeks there and a no point did i or any one we spoke to think that any of the staff were letchy. The waiter staff at waves were efficient and we ate there approx 8 times and the order was spot on every time. I... more
