The most beautiful setting for a resort, across from the Arenal Volcano (even though the lava flows on the opposite side), the view of the volcano is magnificent, the staff was great, specially Ruth and Yesenia, great personality, great disposition, the rooms are little houses with 2 rocking chairs in front so that you can sit and just contemplate the... more
Arenal Springs Resort was absolutely amazing! What a paradise! When you arrive at your "room", you think you're in a casita. It has a private driveway, a little walkway, a front porch with handmade wooden rocking chairs, and huge windows. The flora around it is so beautiful and makes it very private. Then you walk into your room and there... more
We really enjoyed Arenal Springs Resort. It was a connecting hotel for us so we weren't able to stay as long as we liked. They welcomed us with a "Bienvenidos!" cocktail which is much needed after the windy roads to the hotel. The pool and wet bar was great. Breakfast was decent and the room was clean and quite romantic... more
Before getting into my review, let me just say that many of the not so nice reviews seem to be based on things out of the control of the hotel or poor planning. We had a great stay, and while not perfect in every way- found this spot to accomodate us nicely. Pros: The first thing we noticed was the... more
I would NOT stay here again. First, we arrived late to find that only two bath towels were provided for the four of us. This was only a minor inconvenience, but things went downhill from there. Our card key did not function on two occasions (no, we didn't get it wet). Once, late at night and we had to brave... more
My wife and I just returned from our 2nd trip to Costa Rica. We love the country and have traveled extensively both within the U.S and internationally. I’ve stayed everywhere from campgrounds and hostels to B&B’s and nice resorts…yet through all my travels, I've never been to a hotel that I would warn people not to go to--until now. So... more
The place is set right by the Volcano. Breakfast is included and the rooms are nice. We went during rainy season, but we still did a ton. It usually starts raining in the afternoon and lasts until 10pm. I recommend going White water rafting it was a blast. It ran us about $95 a person. The biggest issue was the... more
This place was fabulous! We took a shuttle from San Jose. On the way, we had to make stops and drop off two other separate travelers at their Arenal area hotels. When my wife saw the questionable condition of their hotels, she became very concerned. But when we pulled up to Arenal Springs resort, all she could say was "Wow... more
My two friends and I stayed at the Arenal Springs Resort on the second night of our seven night visit to Costa Rica. As you can tell from the traveler photos, the hotel offers little stand alone suites for each of its hotel guests. The rooms are gorgeous with breath taking views of the Arenal Volcano. The hotel is a... more
