It was really nice to stay there. Many people from all around the world, 4 beds room with ocean and sunset view...no breakfast included, and my room was clean but could be better (but this depends on what kind of people are in your room). I will suggest for sure! more

The strength of this hostel is its location. It's VERY close to the beach (50 meters), in a area famous for shopping and nightlife. The hostel itself is nothing special, anyway, since it has the "valid passport policy" doesn't receive suspicious people and believe me, this is important cause LA is full of homeless looking for a place to sleep..... more

1. It was my first hostel stay. My partner & I had a private room with view of Beach. This was priceless on its own. 2. Room was clean and basic. More than what I expected however with plenty of breathing room. 3. Outside was pretty quiet. However you do get some of your fellow travelers making some noise coming... more

It is a simple hostel, close to the beach. We turned up after flying from Fiji at 8am in the morning and the staff had no record of out booking thankfully we managed to find out email confirming the booking and thankfully they had a spare room to put us in. The room was average, small but clean. The view... more

Only to be told there was no booking for us and no beds. I had my printed confirmation and after digging around a while was told there was a problem with the credit... more

You can't get a better location or price. We stayed in a private room with bathroom on the top floor overlooking the beach. The hotel was clean and very friendly staff. I would definately recommend. more

This hostel was ok. It was my first experience in a dorm room. The wallpaper was hanging off the walls but apart from that our stay was fine. The cleaner took my neck rest and we found it in her cupboard, so don't leave any valubles hanging around!! The location was good, didn't feel too safe wondering around at night... more

We stayed for 4 nights, the room was large, and tidy, although run down. We stayed in a private room as we traveled with our 12 year old. There was no tv, and the kitchenette in the room was not up to scratch, also the computer did not work (the staff allowed us to use a compter in another room... more

Venice Beach is one of the coolest places to stay in LA. Like a lot of other people have said the area is not the safest at night but the day scene is eccentric & totally fun. The manager was great but they have a lot of employees who are obvioiusly working for board and these guys were a little... more
