This hotel needs a reality check. They clearly believe they are a luxury hotel when in fact they are an overhyped second rate outfit. We stayed at the Chateau to celebrate a birthday and were bowled over with the atmosphere and attention to detail of the staff. Entrance to the hotel is through a secluded side street and we were greeted on arrival by Walter who proceeded to make us feel like regular guests. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chateau Marmont on May 6. The front desk clerk, Casey Dugan, was courteous and helpful. The room was very nice with background music. We will be returning to LA in Sept. and will definitely stay at the Chateau again. more
