I stayed at the Southernmost on the Beach mid-May 2008 with three girlfriends and had a great time. There was only one disappointing thing, we had paid extra for an ocean view room with private balcony, and our room was directly over the parking lot, with the ocean to the left through the palm trees. This is the finest location and property I have ever seen in Key West. Having stayed at various locations in Key West and now having stayed at Southernmost, I wouldn't even think about staying anywhere other than Southernmost and its annexes, Dewey House and La Mer. We stayed in room 404 right on the beach and it was wonderful! Our room was clean and made up twice a day. Cold bottled water was always available in our room along with an ice and water dispenser located outside. Slipper and bathrobes were provided which was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, ample closet and drawer space, nice bathroom with dual vanities, tile shower and separate bath, nice wet bar like kitchen with microwave, mini-fridge, cups, plates, silverware, blender, and toaster.
