The room was clean and updated. It is not a good choice for $200/night but is fine if you get a good rate. It serves its purpose if you need an overnight stay near the airport. more

After a few months traveling in the Southeast, I was back to Portland, ME for another stay at the Wyndham Portland. Amazing transformation of this former Sheraton now complete! As usual, the staff was top notch. Warm greeting by the front desk, bellman offered to tote bags, etc. The lobby renovation looks awesome. Clean, contemporary and user friendly with comfortable... more
Hotel staff is rude and Motel 6 level in Fancy Clothes. They have no clue what a 3 star Wyndham consists of. This is a privately owned hotel and you can tell. The first room smelled so bad we asked for another only to be given a room that had a very moldy and outdated bathroom. Look like this place... more
I have been fortunate enough to stay at the Wyndham (formerly a Sheraton) nearly every week since 10/1/2007 for business. The transition from Sheraton to Wyndham occured around 12/7/2007, so I have been able to see a magnificent transition from a hotel that was in dire need of a facelift to one that offers a new look that is very... more
I stayed at the Wyndham over the 4th of July weekend this year... same as the poster just before me! But quite a different experience... Well, first let me say that I booked the hotel through priceline for $100 a night. At this price, I thought it was definitely worth it. For full price, maybe not. I read a lot... more
Stayed during 4th july weekend. They gave us a room with just a double bed, a lot of goofy things were going on when i was checking in. People keep coming/calling front desk that there is already someone in the room they were given. Front desk clerks keep cursing the house keeping. They didn't even change toiletories in our room... more
We booked four nights through priceline for this hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel (which was Wednesday July 3, 2008) our first room had the air conditioner wires spliced together and laying on the floor. The toilet did not flush properly and the bathroom exhaust fan was very noisy. On Thursday morning we ask to move to another room for... more
My wife and I stayed here for a few days while she attended a conference, which was being held at the hotel. Overall a nice experience. The room was very clean and comfy. Plush drapes help the sleeping in cause, and the air-conditioner worked very well. We had no problems with neighbor noise. Hotel staff is very friendly and were... more
We were just crashing for the night before an early AM flight out of Portland. The hotel is under construction, so the reception area was just some computers put near one another in a different area of the hotel. It was going to be a long walk into the tower being constructed just to use a vending machine. And they... more
Had an early flight so we stayed by the airport. Boked for $58 on Priceline. We had stayed at 6 hotels that week from Ottawa to Boston. This was the best. They put us on the club level I am not sure why ? They are remolding, it is a mess but they are trying to improve the place. The... more
