Lovely old mansion, though a bit gloomy. Nice porches to sit on. Lots of grass and trees around, not much formal/informal landscaping. I stayed in the coach house in a lovely room, but there seemed a disconnect with this place a block and a half away from the mansion. Very good food. Everyone very friendly and gracious, including the owner... more

My husband and I recently stayed at Blantyre in Lenox and had a wonderful stay. Blantyre is truly a special place and a wonderful escape for couples. The Main House is simply lovely- beautifully done in old world style. The grounds are very nice. We were lucky enough to arrive right after a snowstorm, and everything just had a magical... more

I have stayed at Blantyre many times during many seasons. It is one of my favorite places anywhere. The old house is great, but the new things that have been added are tasteful and do not diminish the old granduer of the main house. Go during the week in the winter when no one is there. The staff will treat... more

Blantyre is best known for its sumptuous service during the summer and fall in the beautiful Berkshires. A few years ago, it began staying open year-round, and added winter activities and facilities to its property. We recently spent 5 days there, our first time there in the winter - and it was perfect. There is an ice rink on site... more

We spent a wonderful three days at Blantyre in July 2007 and were anxious to see how the resort fared in the cold, winter months. Using a friend's milestone birthday as an excuse to go back, we are thrilled that we did! Even more beautiful in the winter, we were warmly welcomed back by the fabulous staff - many of... more

Spent 2 really good nights at Blantyre in May of 2007. Everything is pretty much as expected from a Relais Chateaux. Grounds, food, service, room quality- everything is first rate. I would say among all the Relais Chateaux on the east coast, the thing that distinguished this one was the pool area. Yeah, kind of a strange thing to point... more

This Relais & Chateaux property raises the bar for small inns everywhere. From the welcoming bottle of champagne on ice after a long drive to the room stocked with books, DVD's, and CD's, no detail is too small for excellence in implementation. There is much to do in and on the property and in the immediate vicinity. Despite a run... more

We spent a three-day winter weekend at the Blantyre, and our entire experience was wonderful. We stayed in the Carriage House, which was actually perfect because we could just walk in our robes to the spa/jacuzzi (to work out or hang out eating complimentary dove bars and other treats). The room itself was very nice, with lots of amenities (dvd... more

We stayed at Blantyre for two nights after the New Year, having celebrated that in New York. It was a blissful contrast to the bustle of the city! We took our two sons, aged 18 and 15, and had hoped for snow, but the balmy weather the east coast is enjoying meant it was more like Spring! A shame, as... more
