Stayed here for two nights with my husband and two sons, ages 23 and 16 in a two bedroom cabin. The dinner was pricey but delicious. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The cabin was clean and well-equipped; very peaceful and comfortable. It was an excellent location for our day trip to Crater Lake. We would definitely stay here... more

Based on some of the earlier reviews (ie rooms are rustic, someone saw a mousetrap), I didn't have high expectations for this place. Boy, was I wrong!! It was absolutely gorgeous! We stayed in one of the Streamside Cabins. It was beautifully decorated and the room was very spacious. There was a little "stove"/fireplace that was used for heating the... more

We loved this Inn--we stayed in the Riverview Suite--oh my! what a beautiful spot overlooking the Umpqua River. The room was beautiful-very spacious with a fireplace and a soaking tub. Sharon, the innkeeper made dinner for us--what a sweet lady! We would definitely return to this B & B. more

The Steamboat Inn is in a beautiful location on the N. Umpqua river. I thought the cottages were a bit rustic, but comfortable. We did find a few mousetraps around, which didn't bug me but I felt I should mention it because some people would be freaked out by that. The main hit of the trip were the dinners----one night... more

The Steamboat Inn is a gourmet retreat on a legendary river. The North Umpqua is known for its summer run of steelhead and fly fishing. The Inn is at the famous pools known as the "Camp Pools" and many famous people have fished there. In fact, Jimmy Carter once stayed at the inn and fished the holy waters below. The... more

I was a little leery based on the hotel's website and photos, but booked based on the Trip Advisor reviews and the fact that we needed something in this general area for one night of our road trip. I couldn't have been happier with the Steamboat Inn and I wished we could have stayed another night, as it was very... more

My husband and I stayed for one night in Cabin #6. Don't know what I was expecting, but was a little disappointed. This is a renovated old motor court. Parking was a short walk away from our cabin. The rather small accommodations were clean, but a little "rough". The sink and vaniety were immediately to the right of the entry... more

The Steamboat Inn was quite an experience for the one night we were there. We chose one of the more basic but still very well furnished cabins by the river. The only noise we heard most of the time was of the Umpqua River passing by below. It was a treat to be able to walk down to the edge... more

We stayed at the Steamboat this last November for our association meeting. The Inn is on the pristine Umpqua river one of the few wild steelhead fishing rivers on the west coast. Large schools of steelhead can be viewed along the many pools of the river and this section is catch and release. Even though we did not fish we... more

Being an "inn" owner, I get the benefit of traveling some to different properties to attend conferences for organizations of which we belong. Last week I had the great fortune to attend a Unique Meeting in a part of Oregon that I've never been to. This wonderful gem sits on the Umpqua river, I mean, right on the river. I... more
