We have just returned from Ireland. Our five day stay at the Avoca House was super. Jack and Audrey made our stay exceptional. Our breakfasts were awesome and the chit-chat and info they provided us was priceless. The rooms were great. The B & B is conveniently located to Dublin City Center..Just a walk to the bottom of the hill... more

We have spent 5 nights in Avoca house with my husband in the middle of May. We loved this B&B very much. It has a great location - in a very friendly surroundings. It's easily reachable from the airport and from the city center too. There are a lot of buses stop at the corner of Hollybank Rd and Drumcondra... more

My mom and I stayed at the Avoca House for the week of Christmas in 2007. It was our first trip overseas and Avoca House helped make our trip more enjoyable then we ever could have imagined. Our trip started off bumpy as our connecting flight from London to Dublin was delayed over 5 hours because of fog. We should... more

Spent a very good time there, Audrey and Jack are fantastic people... only because of them it's worth going for it. Rooms good size, very clean and comfy mattresses for a very good sleep (surrounding quiet but only a few minutes from bus stop AND on the way from the airport to the city centre). Breakfast from Irish to cearal... more

A friend and I stayed at the Avoca House for 10 nights this past month and have only good things to say. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable and incredibly quaint. Jack and Audrey are delightful - helpful, kind, and really quite fun to get to know. We have fond memories of the Avoca House and would highly recommend... more

We stayed with jack and audrey from the 5th of feb to the 10th of feb. It was great to be in Dublin for the first time! And when we landed after our long flight we made our way to Avoca House which took about 20 mins. This was a nice old fashion house with a lovely modern and clean... more

We were there three days and it was not very pleasant. The place is quite far from the city center (impossible to go walking - they lie in their website). The rooms are tiny and the toilet still tiner. The view trough the window is a wall. The lady asked us if we wanted Irish breakfast, we said yes and... more

This is our 3rd stay with Jack and Audrey. The accommodations have always been neat and clean, and service has been great. Granted the bathrooms are small compared to your (probably American) house, but this isn't your house. You're in another country and the available space is limited. You'll live, quit your whingeing. This is a B&B, not much different... more

I guess we lucked out; our ground floor room was a quiet as could be desired with as pleasant a pair of hosts as we have ever stayed with. more

My boyfriend and I spent two night with Jack and Audrey in August. I must say that they were both lovely, and Audrey is a wonderful cook (she even scaled down the Irish breakfast for my little tummy!). Jack was incredibly helpful, and eager to get us on the right path. As we are light sleepers, we should have known... more
