I've stayed in dirtier hotels, but not in this country. All the common areas were dirty, the elevators, my carpet was stained, the wallpaper was patched by a 5-year old, and there was a big blotch of something on the inside of my comforter. Nice clean room with a fantastic comfortable bed. But very noisy air conditioning. When hotel staff was contacted they told us it was like that in all the rooms due to the age of the building. The Doubletree Memphis Downtown is ideally situated for the tourist who wants close access to Beale Street, Autozone Park, FedEx Forum, and other downtown attractions.
