A business hotel with no charm, food that challenges the description and overall an experience best filed away as boring. more

The good things about this hotel are the location – right in Back Bay – a comfortable room, good pillows, good room furniture, the concierge and the staff in the lobby. We had a room on a high floor and it was quiet. The downside is that our shower was really weak, very poor and the staff we spoke to... more

This was my first stay at the Marriott Copley Place/Back Bay; my previous trips to Boston were at the Financial District, Theatre District and Waterfront. The bellstaff and doorman are great to work with! Charles and Tony were especially helpful during my stay, especially when I had several heavy boxes that needed shipping due to the conference I was working.... more

I booked the Marriott through Priceline, and stayed there for two nights, having spent three nights at the Westin. Upon check in at the Marriott I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. However I was disappointed that they did not have details of my Elite Rewards status, and therefore they had not guaranteed my king bed request. Therefore I... more

The Boston Marriott Copley was wonderful. The hotel is right in the heart of Copley Place, which is the home for the Prudential Building and shops, Trinity Church, the Boston Public Library and very close to Newbury Street- tons of shopping and great restaurants. It was such a great location- there are two subway stops close to the hotel which... more

This is a large hotel well located in Boston for sightseeing but in need of a refurbishment. The rooms are spacious and the bed very comfortable but they are trapped in a 70s time warp, particularly the bathroom. Service was fine and the buffet breakfast good value and quite nice but not well presented. The hotel is attached to a... more

Good stay (late March 08) at this Back Bay hotel. I was here for five nights for a professional conference. As Mrs. G is in the same profession, we both participated, and had Kiddo along as well. I’ve stayed here before, but it’s been 5+ years. Our conference drew about 1000 people. All meetings and our exhibit hall were on-site.... more

$429 a night is ridiculous. With $45 in taxes, this hotel has become a $500 a night stay. Rooms were fine, room service was okay, but the price really turned me off. Positive is that it's within walking distance of my client. Plus. more

This hotel is huge, so don't look for personalised service. All staff was however very efficient and friendly. My room on the 17th floor was clean and comfortable, although housekeeping didn't clean carefully behind the curtains. The bathroom is a little small for a hotel of this standard, but comfortable and clean. There is little choice of restaurants right in... more

This property is in serious need of a face lift. The price for the tiny, dirty room is the same as many newer and cleaner rooms in the city. Do not be fooled into thinking that Marriott takes "care" of all of the properties the same. This hotel has bad food, slow elevatros and old carpet! YUCK. not a good... more
