We stayed at the new Hilton Garden Inn on OceanAire in San Diego. Superb service. I am in hotels frequently with work throughout the U.S.and abroad. This hotel shocked me. Better service than I receive in a 5 star in a major city. Just great! Everyone answered questions and found answers. Service at every turn. Great! more

I wasn't disappointed by this HGI, but I wasn't wowed either. Certainly after reading some of the reviews the staff has the ability to touch some of their guests. My rooms was a suite and extremely large. There was a comfortable work station and wired internet only. The work station was at the opposite end of the very large suite,... more

We are parents of a bride who chose to have her wedding at The Castle at Mt. Woodson. She has lived in San Diego for 6 years and we live in Montana and had guests coming from Florida and Colorado. Our daughter researched this hotel and formed a bond with the manager who has catered to our every need and... more

I don't really understand all the positive fuss about this hotel. Just another mainstream business hotel along the freeway. Service was so so. Area is safe. The hotel room is relatively small, the beds are not that comfy and the bathroom door does not remain open (quite annoying but due to safety reasons so they say). All and all not... more

We were looking for a place to stay for our weekend getaway and weren't looking to spend to much on the hotel. The hotel was near resturants, stores, gas stations etc. so the location was good. We had no problem with our room or the food at the hotel. Going to downtown San Diego took awhile but I enjoyed the different... more

I don't have a bad thing to say about this hotel. It is in a very nice area where we felt safe with our kids. There are many nearby places to eat. And the drive into town (we spent our time at Mission Beach and Seaworld) was not bad at all - we never ran into traffic during the four... more

This hotel is not a fancy hilton with valet or frills. Just a nice, clean, nicely decorated hotel with a fair price. Our room also had a microwave and refrigerator which we took full advatage of by going to the grocerey store 5 minutes away. The breakfast was better than any other complimentry breakfast we have had. Make yourself waffles,... more

My husband and I were helping his daughter move to San Diego, and stayed 3 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn. We requested a room away from the freeway, and were accomodated with a nice king bed with new duvets & mattress toppers. The room was clean, the free high speed internet worked great. We used the pool and found... more

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of July 2007, using 2 rooms for the 4 of us. This was the weekend of the annual Comic Con, so rooms were tight everywhere in the San Diego area. Both rooms were very comfortable and pleasant. We had no noise issues as reported by some reviewers, but then we were on the... more

This hotel is directly off I-15 and is a good 30-45 minutes away from downtown SD as well as Sea World and the Zoo. I had to spend several times in SD rush hour traffic. I went on vacation to avoid that type of traffic. This hotel is in the suburbs. The parking lot is tight and if you have... more
