My fiance and I stayed at the Dana this August. I was a little concerned because I had read the hotel was under renovation but you would never know it. I called to make sure I booked a renovated room and was assured that I did. From the moment we arrived we just loved it. The staff was great. Everyone... more

Pluses: We took a reviewer’s advice and paid for the “premium bay view.” The rooms in this new part of the complex have lovely views of the bay and are very nicely appointed and quiet. I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying in the other sections, however, as they had a much different feel. Minuses: The hotel is not service-oriented. It appears... more

The Location is Amazing but that's pretty much it. We arrrived at 3:15 pm and told the room wasn't quite ready but guaranteed by 4pm. The lead explains to me what kind of room I reserved but tells me I've been upgraded to a "garden view"...then he says if it were more convenient for me, he would call my cell... more

What a fabulous hotel!! Close enough to walk to Sea World, even tho they do provide free shuttle service. 2 GREAT pools. Rooms were nice sized with fridge and microwave. They even have a clothes line in the bathroom to hang those wet clothes. Right on the marina with bike/boat/paddle boat/jet ski rentals. Plenty of room to let the kids... more

We just celebrated my son’s 6th birthday at Sea World and instead of driving home we stayed at The Dana. The hotel is very nice with a beautiful view of mission bay. We had our own little semi-private patio area with a view of the pool and a grass area. Mind you we were traveling with four kids under the... more

After staying at The Dana in 2005 we were very happy to find a great offer for High Season this year, so we canceled an already booked Hotel and switched to The Dana. In 2005 we were very satisfied with the Hotel's service, but since our last stay a few things changed....The booking of our stay was already complicated, we... more

You can't go wrong with this hotel it's walking distance from Sea World and a very short drive to Misson Beach, which is the best beach in the area. We stayed in the older side for 5 days with a family of 4, that's parent and 2 teenagers. the 15 & 16 yr old boys loved this hotel. We asked... more

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at The Dana and had a wonderful experience. We appreciated the free shuttle to and from the airport, cruise terminal, and Sea World. There is also a bus line directly in front of the hotel so it was easy and inexpensive to go downtown. The concierge was very friendly and helped us arrange... more

We have just returned from 2 and a half weeks in California. We stayed for our first 5 nights in the Dana and were very impressed with everything there. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food at both restaurants was lovely. We enjoyed both pools and found the whole experience a very nice introduction to America as this... more

We stayed in one of the older buildings in the hotel in a ground floor room with patio near the tropical pool. The upper floors had no balcony to sit out, so if in that part of the hotel I would recommend requesting a ground floor room. The rooms were spacious with a plasma tv, fridge and microwave. On arrival... more
