We came to play golf with a large group of players from Argentina, Chile and Colombia. The experience was just amazing, all the 70 players felt as home!!!! We stayed at the Wingate Buckhead this past weekend while attending a Braves game and visiting the World of Coca-Cola and the Laser Light Show at Stone Mountain. We booked the hotel because of the reviews on TripAdvisor (we consult this site every time we travel) and really enjoyed our experience. This hotel is overrated, based on what we read from other reviewers. Very nice staff, but: 1. elevators were dirty 2. fitness room needs free weight dumbbells, and the multi-station equipment was only partially functional; (and the a/c did not work in the fitness room) 3. the staff were not accurate in giving advice on local stores , etc. But... more

After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, we chose this at short notice. Buckhead is a great location in Atlanta. Using the MARTA it is easy to get around, espeically if you use the hotel shuttle service (they have a stretch limo!). This hotel is a bit further away from the shopping mall/restaurants. Spent 2 nights in the Wingate and the staff is exceptionally professional and friendly. They offer directions and advice with great courtesy. Rooms were well appointed at this price point with laminate wood floors and granite counters, nice pillows. Just got back from a business trip to Atlanta and stayed at the Wingate for four nights. I read all of the comments on Tripadvisor and after seeing it for myself; I have to agree this is a great property. I found out the property owners also own a Limo car service so there are always upscale cars and drivers... more
