I stayed with my wife at the hotel between the end of may and begining of June 2008 for 7days on the 22nd floor. When we first got there we rented a car so there was not free parking it was valet parking $25.00 per night. So, the valet parking was expensier than the car rental itself. As for room... more
We stayed at the Ilikai from the 9th to the 16th June. We had a standard cityview hotel room which was very spacious. Bed was extremely comfortable. Air con was very old and noisy but it did keep the room cool which was the important thing. As written in previous reviews, yes the elevators are terribly slow. Yes, maid service... more
My wife and I stayed at the Ilikai from the fifth of June through the twelfth. We were both impressed by the courteous staff, the overall appearance of the hotel, and the on-site Expedia desk, which we used to plan our daily adventures. Our room was very comfortable and rather roomy for Wakiki standards. The walk to the lagoon and... more
My mom and I stayed 10 days at Ilikai Condo 629. We had an excellent experience. The room was clean and the view from the lanai was just as described. We spent a lot of time out there. We were able to cook our breakfasts and have coffee in the room. It was nice to have beach towels available to... more
I am a life long resident of Oahu and I'm extremely familiar with the hotels in Waikiki so when I had my house tented for termites this weekend I challenged myself to get the best deal possible. I got a terrific kitchenette room with two full beds, pullout sofa and a Diamond Head, Lagoon, and beach view on the 21st... more
We stayed at the Ilikai for a week at the end of April. The unit we stayed in is a privately owned unit. My review is about the total property itself. There are no restaurants, bars or any hint of food on the premises. You couldn't get coffee or anything to eat in the morning without having to walk across... more
Our excellent experience at the Ilikai began a week or two before our arrival, when we called to ask a question. The person who answered the telephone recognized us using caller ID and greeted my husband by name. Similarly, when we checked in, the valet parking attendants, the bellhops, and the desk clerk all treated us as graciously as we... more
We had two weeks in Waikiki last week May and first week June 2007. Our biggest problem was getting a King bed for very tall hubby and myself, plus something for our young son without paying $300 a night! We didn't realise when we booked with Hawaii Marina Vacations that they ran separately from the Illikai hotel. However we got... more
My 22nd floor room was large and nicely furnished, but construction next door was noisy and prevented me from enjoying the balcony in the morning. There is no room service, and all of the restaurants on the main floor are closed. Housekeeping is sporadic - towels are changed daily, and wastebaskets emptied, but glassware and coffee mugs were not changed... more
