This was my 2nd stay at the Intercontinental San Juan. Once again, it was very clean and very nice. We reserved a suite, which has a separate living room, tv and fridge. There was another fridge and tv in the bedroom. The staff was nice and helpful. I liked the location. Isla Verde is a public beach, and very clean... more

My husband and I stayed at the Intercontinental for 7 days, Sept. 17-23 for our anniversary. We didnt have to wait too long to check in and we upgraded to a ocean front room for $150 extra. Here is my honest review: When I saw our ocean front room I was shocked by how much they charge regular price for... more

09/11/08 - 09/15/08 ----- great place to relax and get away from it all. 1st thing you notice is lots of green everywhere. Beautiful plants and trees everywhere. even though this is part of the United States, spanish is their language. although once they realize you speak english they will switch to english. I must agree everyone was polite and... more

We had a room overlooking the beach. Upon arrival, there was a piece of chocolate cake in our room because my birthday would occur during our stay. The first night we walked on the beach right off the hotel and watched a beautiful sunset. Every day we swam up to the bar IN THE POOL and had drinks (cappuccino colada!!!)... more

We had a great getaway and highly recommend the Intercontinental! Highlights: A very well kept and professionally landscaped pool area. Open 24-7. The beach is very well maintained also and only a few steps away. (The hotel is on the beach) Many excellent places to eat at the hotel and plenty of more affordable eateries within a very short walk.... more

I just returned from Puerto Rico where I stayed at the InterContinental Hotel & Resort; we were there from 09/10/08 to 09/15/08. The hotel and staff are wonderful. Upon our arrival from the airport (which is literally a 7 minute drive), Jose checked us in. We'd originally reserved and paid for a regular room. I asked Jose about upgrading and... more

I read many reviews before booking our 4 night/5 day vacation through Continental Vacations since my husband and I could choose from a number of hotels and were undecided. I am SO HAPPY we stayed at the Intercontinental. I read some of the negative reviews and couldn't disagree more! We are already talking about going back! We arrived at noon... more

I stayed at the IC San Juan in early September. I love Puerto Rico (this was my 5th hotel stay in PR in a year and a half) and was thrilled to bring along a friend who hadn’t been before. We chose the IC because we found a really great deal online. I had been in a lobby a few... more

This resort leaves a lot to be desired. The place is very, very old. The lobby and public areas have been somewhat re-done. But not to the standards of Intercontinental property's in the US. Check in was a breeze, courteous, and very efficient. Except that I was charged an additional resort tax and fees that where never mentioned when I... more
