Using B of A cards in ATMs in Mexico |
It is only 7.50 pesos about 73 cents. Just remember you can only make 4 ATM withdrawals a month before BOA will charge you. I use the one in the Zocalo and they have a web site so you can figure out their other location. Have a great wedding in PV but the highlight will be having your honeymoon in Acapulco!

Popis, that is incorrect information. You can use ATM's for FREE at Santander Serfin with your BofA card. I've been doing it the past 2yrs with out any charges. It clearly states this on BofA's website. Just make sure you don't click yes when it asks for a donation to some Mexican charity unless you want to donate. As for 4 transactions....That depends upon your account. I'm allowed a lot more than that with out any hassle so either AcaJane is wrong or she's getting ripped off. Also unless your staying in the Zocalo area which more than likely your not....there is no need to go schlepping out there to use an ATM. There is a Santander Serifin in the Golden Zone on the bay side between the Super Gigante food store and HardCrock Cafe. It has a 24hr walk up ATM.

Need, I'm charged that 75 peso charge on the Mexican side every time I use my ATM in Mexico. It's printed on my receipts.
HSTX... A., Are you solely using Santandar Serifin? B. Are you using a Bank of America Banking card? This is cut and pasted from BofA's website. Please note the countries in ( ) This is shown so your not confused and go using Scotiabank in Mexico. If you do, you will be charged....Again, I have never been charged. "Use your ATM card or Check Card within our Global ATM Alliance in the countries shown with no fees. Barclays (United Kingdom) BNP Paribas (France) China Construction Bank (China) Deutsche Bank (Germany) Santander Serfin (Mexico) Scotiabank (Canada) Westpac (Australia and "

Need, you are wrong. The Santander ATM will tell you about the 7.50 peso charge after you put your PIN in and ask you if you want to continue. After you are done with the transaction, it will ask you if you want to contribute. But you are charged the 7.50 peso fee.
This 7.5 peso fee is charged by Santander not BOA. And unless you have some kind of account that gives you unlimited withdrawals during the month, BOA will charge you after the fourth ATM withdrawal whether you are in the US or out of the Country.

Need....Hasn't that Super Gigante around Costa Azul changed names?
The store is now called SORIANA, the super gigante's are all gone. FYI good note!!
Jane...Trust me...I have never been charged a fee and I'm well aware of most ATMs when they ask if you accept the fee. I have never been charged nor asked. I went back to my statements and was never charged anything.
Need, It's not going to appear on your statement. Mine don't appear either on the stmt; it's on my receipt. But I could be wrong.
