Hello all-

I just came upon this tour operator and was wondering if-

1) anyone has used them before. If so, how were they?

2) Anyone went on this partcular tour. I now these sections of the wall are farther away and I need to be back to the city by 6pm and am wondering if I'll make it.

Thanks

I've been to Simatai. It is further away from the city, and it's a semi-hike just to get to the wall park. However, it is nicer and there are fewer people on it.

Goos Mom, I did not use this operator, so I can't help you with that part of your question. But I went to Mutianyui for the Great Wall and there were also very few people there. We had an easy time taking pictures and walking with no crowd around us. We got picked up at 8:30 and got to the wall about 10:00. By 2:30 we were very tired and were contnet with waht we saw. We returned to Beijing by 4:00. So if your 6:00 return is amust, Mutianyu is a good choice.

2) I didn't go with them, but with Downtown Backpackers (www.backpackingchina.com/nr/greatwall.html), which I liked. In order to be back by 1800, you'd have to leave Simatai Great Wall by 1500.
